The first-ever BMW i4 is priced at Rs 69.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). The all-electric sedan comes in a single eDrive40 Sport variant along with M Aerodynamic Kit as an option.
BMW i4 Electric Sedan: Design & Color Options
Upfront, the BMW i4 gets a vertically aligned kidney grille equipped with a sensor technology that further supplies the sedan with real-time data. In addition, the electric vehicle features BMW iconic LED headlights, LED daytime driving lights & side indicators, and Bi-LED low & high beams. At the side, the i4 flaunts a long wheelbase with short overhangs, a flowing roofline, and 17-inch aerodynamic wheels 852 bi-color. The rear end boasts of LED rear lights and an automatic tailgate. Talking about the BMW Live Cockpit, it includes features like a 12.3-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, BMW Operating System 8.0 with variable configurable widgets, and a 14.9-inch high-resolution curved display with touch function, iDrive controller, navigation function with a map view, and voice control with a personal assistant. BMW has equipped the i4 with a plethora of safety features. These include airbags, ABS with brake assist & dynamic braking lights, crash sensor, dynamic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, a three-point seat belt for all seats, ISOFIX child seat mounting, and acoustic protection for pedestrians.

Mechanically, the BMW i4 comes equipped with an 83.9 kWh lithium-ion battery that generates 339 bhp power and 430 Nm peak torque. The electric sedan can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in a mere 5.7 seconds. Besides that, it can achieve a range of up to 590 km.

BMW i4 Electric Sedan: Charging Option
BMW i4 is available with three charging options. The electric sedan can be charged to 100 percent in 8.25 hours using an 11 kW AC charger. However, with a 50 kW DC charger, the i4 can be charged from 10-80 percent in just 83 minutes. Using the same charger, a range of up to 100 km can be added in just 18 minutes. Lastly, the vehicle gets a complimentary BMW Wallbox charger along with installation as a part of the introductory offer. The i4 can be fully charged with the help of an 11 kW home wall box AC charger in about 8.30 hours.
